It’s been confirmed from Joshua Schachter, the founder of delicious, that he has decided to resign from Yahoo! Mike Arrington just spoke to him and he said that the recent news coming out of Yahoo! pressed his decision to leave now. Joshua also said that the decision was made today and that he has no future plans but will instead join the “gloriously unemployed”.

The new version of delicious seems to have almost fallen off the face of the earth within Yahoo, and Joshua has been very frustrated by Yahoo’s part in his resignation. Time was running out for Yahoo to hold there prize possession, and the story has surfaced as one of Yahoo’s finest has exit stage left.
Yahoo acquired delicious in December of 2005. delicious is one of my socials I use all the time and so does many of my friends, but what and who will leave next from this big internet giant? What’s next for delicious? No one knows right now, but it may fall a few notches from its competitors.
There have been many star employees that resigned recently from Yahoo. Is Yahoo losing the best of the best to another start up or perhaps a competitor? It has been a very bad time for Yahoo! recently, and things are only getting worse.

I think social networking sites are growing much more now than the bookmarking sites. I keep hearing of new sites all the time and everybody’s trying to be the next Facebook. My son just graduated from a top school with top grades in computer science and was hired by Hi5, a top 10 social networking site trying to move up.
