Yahoo Goes Offline

At around 11:28 AM CST Yahoo was offline. As I write this blog Yahoo is still offline. How can such a company like Yahoo go offline ever?
We were able to access Google, ESPN, and other sites during the Yahoo outage. It’s now 11:33 AM CST and Yahoo is still offline.
Yahoo is currently back online, but the site is loading very slow. The outage duration was 7 minutes.

I am still unable to connect to any of yahoo’s sites. It is now 12:26 CST

It seems very slow in loading. Hopefully they will have it resolved soon.

Last week it was down for about 10 mins in the middle of the day. Strange.

As Yahoo! News is my home page, I’ve seen this happen several times, and worse – they seem to have blocked same account access from multiple machines (mac address filtering?) or operating systems. My home machine, on Linux, can access them, but my work and travel machine, on Windoze XP cannot. Both machines can access anywhere else during these Yahoo! blockages. Signs of a more systemic problem?

i m able to browse yahoo now but its slow,
but its the first time i m facing the problem,
but its ridiculus that such a big company have gone offline
