When Business Gets Sexy

Since accessing the internet back in the early to mid 90′s, sex was the hottest thing going and it still is. But now even the big corporate types have been using it to gain some buzz. It’s not like the sex we all know as porn, but a much more tasteful and sexy type of marketing strategy.

One company that comes to mind is Godaddy.com and the GoDaddy girls. Bob Parsons the owner and founder of GoDaddy is a genius when it comes to conducting business on the internet. GoDaddy has set the standard in domain registration with many other tools available for customers.

How sexy are the GoDaddy girls? Let’s take a closer look.

Candice made her debut on World Wrestling Entertainment’s RAW® in 2004. But it took Go Daddy’s 2005 Super Bowl® commercial–a parody of Janet Jackson’s 2004 “wardrobe malfunction”-to catapult her to national fame.

That first TV ad aired February 6, 2005. It was so controversial that Fox pulled the commercial, refusing to broadcast it again. Fox’s move caused quite a stir, making GoDaddy’s 2005 Super Bowl commercial one of the most watched Super Bowl commercials in history.

Candice, who has since become the reigning queen of Go Daddy TV, was also featured on the April 2006 cover of Playboy magazine.

At the age of 24, Danica made sports history when she became only the 4th woman to race in the Indy 500® and the 1st woman ever to lead it. Danica finished 4th in her first Indy Racing League® season, earning Indy Rookie of the Year in 2005. After a second IRL 4th-place finish in 2006, Danica joined heir apparent Marco Andretti on the Andretti Green Racing team.

In 2008, Danica made history yet again as she became the first woman to ever win an IndyCar race, grabbing the checkered flag in the Indy Japan 300. Danica’s star has never been brighter — and Go Daddy has never been more excited to be her sponsor.
