Sometimes you can rank for unexpected keywords because of your long tail keyword relevance.
For example:
If you query "dating sexy" as a long tail for "dating" then you can rank on "sexy" because of the relevance. Thats why it's important to check for potential references of your long tail keywords, they may be the source.

It would but if you are not targeting that keyword than why have it? You also may receive a lot of spam from Acai sellers.

Thank you Frank for sharing some info regarding this. I've told by some blogger friends they are harassed by the comment spammers, and even got scrapped for their content that leads search engine results to malicious sites. Horrible acts people could do to our sites. Just need more internet security knowledge to boost up immunity.

@Frank: Getting ranked for Acai berry :> Wouldn't that make me millions ;) Kristi has a good point about tracking keywords. Best thing I like about webmaster tools is the report about keywords that you are 'sort of' ranking for are not getting traffic from them.

Kristi,

Good point and many people just do not take the time to review their keyword performance. I love Google WMT!

I have seen this happen on a few sites. It affects the categories you get Stumbled in, search results, etc.

Keeping an eye on your keywords is a good thing, even if you haven't been hacked. Sometimes, the keywords you are going for are not the ones that are most dense on your site, which makes your positioning on those words not so great.
