I guess that I also have my fair share of 'junk' which could do with a serious look through, but I'm keeping hold of my train set LOL It was bought in 1961 for Christmas and was packed away in 1962 as my father was posted to Mauritius. Now it sits in its own case, all boxed with the original prices and accessories. Back then it cost the equivalent of UK £5 (USD $7 approx), which was a lot of money.
