I use kaspersky internet security. More add ons are not preferred as it slows down Firefox I guess..

Actually, I have not noticed any performance issues with this add-on.

Frank
i have a hardware updated machine , but why running something that doesn’t even do it’s job !!
believe me , i’ve tried it all from mcafee site advisor to Zone alarm Pro suite and all doesn’t really do that job ,
i think the best is Avast Pro with IE for the script blocker option . . althought no script in FF can prevent it from showing up but still reads it’s info
but script blocker scan it before reading .

I love Avast and I think it doesn’t get the credit it deserves.

Thanks for featuring WOT, Frank!
In today’s online environment you need all the protection you can get, and including WOT in a layered security approach makes good sense. Our add-on doesn’t slow down your browsing, and in fact many of our users have multiple add-ons and sometimes even use WOT in combination with other rating systems.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll try that out and see how it works.

You’re welcome Deborah. So far it looks like some users are experiencing resource issues with Ram. I have not seen this as being an issue.

The slowing could be a symptom of our service provider having load balancer problems yesterday. But your readers reported this on the 24th…hmmn…
The amount of data transferred by WOT has been minimized, and the backend systems are optimized to provide the rating information in a flash. The rating information is retrieved in parallel with the Web page, so you shouldn’t notice any difference.
