Social Networks That Drive Traffic

by Frank Jovine on 08/25/2008 in Community, Internet

StumbleUpon has always been my top referral site, but in a short time (less than 2 weeks) Yahoo Buzz and Propeller are making a difference. Mixx and Searchles are not even on the map and I have been using these two social networks for as long as Propeller. I am happy that now I have a clearer understanding on what is working and what is not. This will save me time and allow me to only concentrate on the 6 referral sites listed.

It’s all about doing more with less!

I put a lot of testing into social networking. The goal was obvious, and that was to narrow my list of networks to better focus on the ones that bring the noise.

What social networks are working for you?

For me the top 3 social media networks have been,
    1. su
    2. Reddit
    3. Digg

Got digg traffic after a long tome for my latest post. This comment will not be completed if I do not mention EC. EC is the greatest community built for bloggers. All the friendships we share , ideas, groups, comments, informative inputs are much valuable for me than few hits from a different network.

I have tried I don’t know how many different ways to get that Buzz button installed on my blog and blogger just keeps rejecting it. I wonder if it is because I have my own domain or that I don’t use a blogger blog.
