Nvu Free Web Authoring Software

Nvu (pronounced “N-view,” for a “new view”) is a free, open source software program that allows you to build websites and web pages using a simple WYSIWYG editor (what-you-see-is-what-you-get).
Nvu makes creating web pages as easy as using a word processor and rivals such programs as Adobe’s Dreamweaver and Microsoft’s Expression Web, only for free! With Nvu’s built-in site manager, connecting to your website and making changes is a snap.
There are a lot of great tutorial videos on YouTube that walk you through building a website with Nvu. Here’s one of those videos below.
If you need additional support, you can visit the Nvu forums and ask other Nvu users questions or search for your answer.

That’s really cool that it’s free but it seems like programs such as dreamweaver are becomming outdated – dynamic websites are so common now… especially with all of the free platforms to build off of.

I quite like NVU and we’ve used it for years now…
Within the last week, my hubby deleted it off my desktop and installed a new software program to use -
I haven’t used it yet…not even sure which one it is…LOL
However, NVU did the trick for me and was really easy to use!

Put that shortcut back. NVU is free and it has just as much functionality as Frontpage.
