Mix Turtle - The Music Search Engine

TechJaws.com searches the internet looking for the tastiest sites that offer up some of the coolest stuff and we found a good one in Mix Turtle.

You can play your favorite songs by searching by artist or song title. It serves up the best of what you like when you are in the mood to listen to your favorite songs.
The downside is that there’s no about or help pages that explain how to upload your own play-lists. I am sure this is in beta and there’s more to come from this music search site. They have been live since August 17th, 2008, so I am sure they have more in the works, but I wish they updated their blog more often.
I searched for 3 artists and found the songs I enjoy and played them all for free!
From Mix Turtle:
Do you want to see live broadcasts of what other users are currently listening to on Mix Turtle? Well now you can with the all new and shiny button “Live”. This one is just an image so don’t be fooled. You can find the real one on the top right corner of the home page. Click on the ‘HOME’ link above then look top right.

ok, from the first look it seems good
but it’s actually useless!
it just search youtube, metacafe, vimeo, … etc and all other vid. sites and displays the result in one page.
i’d LOVED it if it had someway to download these songs locally.
btw, your js anti-Comment Spam plugin is killing me [ i’m using NoScript with Firefox

i use this website and i play the songs and simply record them using a program called ALIVE .. you have to sit and listen to the songs all the way through and then start and stop the program during each song, but hey. if your listening to the song anyway.. who cares.. and you get it free at the same time
