The problem in attacking Linux systems is that most are updated very regularly. Any time a vulnerability is discovered, it is fixed VERY quickly, like in a matter of days, or even hours. Microsoft doesn't trust its users with the source code for its products, so M$ users must wait until a problem affects a large number of users before Microsoft considers it enough of a problem to justify paying a programmer to repair it.

All close-source software has this same, potentially fatal flaw, and the closed-source portions of OS X are no exception.

They're even working on the Linux platform as it gains popularity.
