I try to comment on blogs daily, but if I miss a day or two, I will spend hours on the weekend catching up.

For me, it is a very beneficial way to learn about my readers, because I start with blogs that have commented on my site. I keep a handy subscription folder dedicated to those blogs.

Then I branch out and comment on sites shared with me through Twitter, Facebook, Stumble, and other networking sites. Discovering new sites brings a wealth of knowledge at my fingertips.

I must say this is an excellent tip for new bloggers. It is a reminder to old ones. comments are like kudos. they are what make or break a blog. A blog without comments is like a beautiful but empty house.

A reasonable comment can be start of a long lasting friendship with another blogger.
