by on 11/26/2008 in Internet, Software

Are you using Gmail, Yahoo or Windows Live Hotmail? Did you know there has been a tremendous increase in phishing emails due to the holiday season as well as the financial crisis? You can feel safer by downloading a free utility for added security protection for all 3 of these email services!

WOT (Web of Trust) has added the top three web-based email services – Google Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail, to its free security protection. WOT can provide consumers with information that alerts them if a link in an email is not safe.

Please help us spread the word about this new feature of WOT.

Thank you for recommending WOT to your readers. Especially in this time of financial crisis, when people are feeling jittery and vulnerable, the phishing attacks have grown worse. This new protection comes at just the right time.

    Safe surfing,

Wow, those are some shocking statistics, 1 in 20 websites are harmful. No wonder so many computers get malware.

You need to start getting familiar with social networks like StumbleUpon. It’s a great network where you can select your interests and stumble across the same. Thumbs up the ones you like and make friends and subscribers to your SU blog.

That’s pretty scary statistics…and some people keep everything in their free email accounts. May be they need to be aware of this.
