How much is Your Web Site Worth?
Posted 08.19.2008 by Frank J in Internet, Tech,
Every web owner including myself wants traffic, recognition and a huge following. There are some of us who hope to make money as well. There’s a service that provides information about your web site and also includes the estimated value of your site. I must warn you that this is only an estimate and I would recommend that you don’t take this too seriously or use it as a benchmark when advertising or selling your site.
dnScoop is a Domain Check and Value Estimation Tool.
From the dnScoop about page:
dnScoop.com attempts to estimate a value for an established website or a domain name by using factors such as:
* Links pointing to the domain
* Popularity of the domain
* Age of the domain
* Pagerank of the domain
* Traffic to the domain
* and more…
We believe that these factors are a good indicator of a site’s value and earning potential. We don’t claim that the tool is 100% accurate, but we are constantly working to improve accuracy.

Thank you for the suggestion. This site evaluator actually seems to be quite on target. I have used some in the past that give you ridicilous values. DnsScoop says my site is worth 500 smacks, that sounds about right to me. What is TechJaws worth?

Excellent tool. It looked pretty accurate to me too!
I don’t think I’ll be trying to sell either of my sites just yet!

You should also consider websitefact.com ; they provide a nice summary of the website performance. I find their WF rank being more accurate than Alexa.

Eugenio,
I will check this out to see what kind of value it has compared to the online tools that I am currently using.
After reviewing the site, I found that the site needs a little SEO know how itself. Also, the report is not consistent to the two reports I am using. I see you’re the owner of the site and posting your link here may help your SEO.
