Helpful Directories for Building Inbound Link Value
by Frank Jovine on 05/09/2009 in SEO Tips
If you have 1000 inbound links from websites that have a Google Pagerank of NA or a PR 0, you really don’t have good link value. It’s better to have 50 inbound links from websites that have a Google PR 2 or greater. The higher the Pagerank the better!
Listed below are some directories that truly can improve link value, but it’s not easy. DMOZ is a very tough directory to get inclusion, but not impossible. To start building inbound link value, start by submitting your site in the directories below.
Accoona: http://www.Accoona.com
DMOZ: http://www.dmoz.org
Massive Links: http://www.massivelinks.com
Site-Sift: http://www.site-sift.com
WOW Directory: http://www.wowdirectory.com
Rubber Stamped: http://www.rubberstamped.org
SiteSnoop: http://www.sitesnoop.com
This is our year: http://www.thisisouryear.com
Tygo: http://www.tygo.com
Web Beacon: http://www.web-beacon.com
01 WebDirectory: http://www.01webdirectory.com
Azoos: http://www.azoos.com
Seven Seek: http://www.sevenseek.com
Skaffe: http://www.skaffe.com
Ableseek: http://www.ableseek.com
ExactSeek: http://www.exactseek.com
LinkoPedia.com: http://www.linkopedia.com
WhatUSeek: http://www.whatuseek.com
Uncover The Net: http://www.uncoverthenet.com
Don’t forget about commenting on blogs that are dofollow and have a Google Pagerank of a PR 2 or higher. TechJaws has a Pagerank of 4 and it’s a dofollow blog.
What’s DoFollow? When you link out to other sites and allow the search engines to “follow” the links, it’s like putting your reputation on the line and endorsing those sites you’re linking to.

Gregor,
Many of these if not all require a fee, but there are directories that are free. Search free directories here to find our blog on free submissions.
