Free Press Release Sites to Improve Marketing
by Frank Jovine on 06/04/2009 in Marketing
There are many online businesses old and new that fail to realize the effectiveness of Online Press Releases. There are many free PR sites on the net that are very popular and are highly ranked. These sites can improve your online business, blog, etc.
The fact is, if you publish a Press Release and it provides enough interest, it could become very viral. This means your article may find its way on other media sites including Google, AP, etc.
There are many free PR sites, but one I think you may want to try is PRLog at http://www.prlog.org/. It’s a site that offers free press releases. All you need to do is register and build your profile and you can start submitting press releases.
In addition to submitting a press release, you have the option to also Submit an Article, Post a Job and List Your Business.
PRLog Site statistics:
Google PR6
Alexa Rank: 3773
The site is also a dofollow!
Here are other free PR sites you can try:
24X7 Press Release – Login to submit press release.

PR9.net – Submit free press release with login.
IMNewsWatch – Submit free press release.

I have heard a lot about using press releases and article writing to market your site. I’m just starting out on eHow for the article marketing, although I haven’t written anything I can link back to my site. Press Releases sound like a good way to get the word out about new sites though, contests, and more. Thanks for the list!

Great stuff! I’m all for the FREE press release sites, dofollow or not.
Press releases are great for getting noticed, but at the very least they are backlinks. Always include your URL –
Some businesses like to keep a log of the press releases that they have submitted on their own site. I don’t recommend this, especially if you submit to multiple PR sites. You risk a duplicate content smack from the search gods. Including the URL in your submitted content will help the search gods figure out where the content originates, but it’s not a magic bullet.
Careful with these press release sites, but be even more careful with article submission sites – that’s where people usually make their over-syndication mistakes.
Oh you got me excited, I think I’m going to write a follow up post
