Yes there are sites for parenting that display breastfeeding photos. This is why I think Facebook is overly censoring.

Breastfeeding pictures are already easy to find all over the web. Take http://www.breastfeeding.com for one. You can see hundreds if not thousands of breastfeeding photos there-available to whomever may go there or stumble upon it. Breasts are designed to feed babies and if someone doesn’t see it on the internet they’re likely to see it in a National Geographic. From what I hear, FB has lots of very provocative pictures-breastfeeding your child is not.

Wow-you are quick! I too understand your argument as well, again, if you don’t want to look, you just don’t go there. Everyone wants to expose everything, sometimes things are best left to the imagination!

I understand what you are saying, but my argument is that these photos are not rude and if a person wants to share them they should be able to freely.

99.5% of the time I agree with you but this is an issue that I don’t.. 1st off, if you want to put it out there, yeah people are going to look at it. Some will agree some will not, I am an advocate for if you don’t like it, don’t look at it. There are a hell of a lot worse pictures than these.

But I feel this is a “bond” between you and your child – and it should respectively be kept there. There is something to be said about a little personal class – how is that child going to feel later in life if those surface?
