I also use Dragon Design sitemap plugin not only for my readers, but also for search engine crawlers. You just can’t beat XML sitemaps, but it’s difficult to submit to all engines.

I’m using a modified Google XML Sitemap Generator plugin (v3.0.3.3) for WordPress MU version, but I’m having a hard time upgrading it (the regular one doesn’t work on wpMU).

Plus, all my sitemaps on the wpMU platform are NOT being detected by google webmaster tools. However, they seem to work if I go in and manually input my modified sitemap.xml file into their system .. they just don’t seem to like that blogs.dir/XX/files/ format I guess.

(unless someone can point out alternatives .. it will have to do though – I went in and updated 32 wpMU blogs today and it was a tedious process)

I use the google XML sitemap for the search engines and the Dragon Design sitemap plugin so readers can view the entire list of posts and pages.

You know, I wonder how my sitemap is doing since I have made all the changes. Maybe I should go back in and update.
