Beware of FixTool a Misleading Application

by Frank Jovine on 04/17/2009 in Fake Antivirus, Security

Like all misleading applications, FixTool gives exaggerated reports of errors on the computer. Once a user receives the exaggerated report, they’re fooled into purchasing the full license of the application in order to remove the threats. This is a common tactic with these fraudulent companies.

    Hi Frank,

Sadly they are on the increase again. I ran RegFix Pro a few days ago and with its findings, as with all the other fake app’s, my PC shouldn’t boot LOL

So many are still downloading these damn programs though and Mac’s are also under attack from botnets via pirated software, their weak spot has been found!
