There’s an email claiming that in order to receive a $100 Subway Gift Card, you will need to fill out a survey. This is a phishing scam trying to obtain personal information and selling the information to other 3rd party marketing firms in order to distribute other scams in the selling of fraudulent products and or services. The marketing firm behind this email is not affiliated with Subway.

The same marketing company uses other well known brands like (Lowe’s, Victoria Secrets, Walmart and Home Depot) to lure in victims into thinking that it’s a legitimate offering. This is a very common practice when it comes to phishing scams.

Subway Gift Card Scam

The link in the email shows sledded.financialdo.com and inherits the reputation of financialdo.com which has a poor reputation and is considered dangerous. When a user clicks on the link, they’re redirected to a site called – “Sandwich Surveys (http://claim.sandwichsurveys.com)”. Sites like these phish information in order to steal a person’s identity and or banking and credit card information so that it can be used for other illegal activities.

The site does offer a way to Unsubscribe, but I have never subscribed to their services. I am sure they use an email harvest program that scrubs the web for email addresses.

Sites that offer cash rewards for little in return are usually scams and you should be cautious. Avoid being a victim and delete these types of emails.
