Home / Computers / Best Wireless Router for High Speed Internet

In my opinion – The Cisco Linksys High Performance Wireless-N Router E3000 is by far worth the price for the performance and features this wireless router offers out of the box. If you are a Comcast customer who has “Blast” (Up to 15 MB download speeds), this wireless router provides the wireless performance needed for streaming videos such as Netflix “Watch Instantly” and playing online games.

Cisco Linksys E3000 Wireless Router

The Cisco Linksys High Performance Wireless-N Router E3000 not only provides high speed wireless connections, but it also allows you to hook up an external storage device via the built in USB port. This is a great way to backup data right to the USB device.

The Cisco Linksys E3000 High Performance Wireless-N Router offers several other great features.

  • True dual-band 2.5 and 5 GHz
  • Gigabit Ethernet
  • Fast throughput
  • Long range
  • NAS functionality
  • Slim design

The router comes with 4 LAN ports and one WAN port on the back. All are Gigabit-capable, meaning they support throughput up to 1,000Mbps.

Cons: The Cisco Linksys E3000’s built-in network storage function is somewhat slow, and the Guest networking feature has its limitations. It doesn’t support USB printers.

I have owned 4 wireless routers and the Cisco Linksys Router is by far the best in performance and features.

Price: $140 to $180

  6. Linksys has been making good networking products for quite some time. I also like Netgear products. Very similar in price/performance to Linksys. Not a big fan of DLink as their user interface is not a easy to use as Linksys or Netgear.
