My husband just upgraded its hard drive and memory for under $100. It does everything I need, except play World of Warcraft! For a student with a desktop or a full-size laptop back in the dorm, a 2 pound netbook would be a great machine to take to class for notes, email, surfing, etc. Mine gets about 4 hours on a battery charge, so that's not bad either. Asus makes a little netbook too that looks nice. I've heard good things about their laptops. I have a Dell mini 9 running Ubuntu, and I’m crazy about it.
