Walmart Gift Card Scam

There’s an email purporting to be from Walmart, claiming that the recipient has been selected to receive a $1000 gift card. If the recipient clicks on any links or the banner ad in the email, they will be taken to a fraudulent website. The email is not from Walmart. It is a phishing scam that’s designed to steal personal information to be used for unlawful activity. Delete this email immediately and do not click any links in the email. Example Gift Card From: admin@woodhammocks.com URL: http://walmartcard4u.com/ Server location: California, United States Walmart will not send its customers unsolicited emails asking them to provide personal information. I highly recommend downloading the WOT (Web of Trust) add-on for IE and/or Firefox. The WOT add-on warns you about risky sites before you click.
