Listed are 15 of the Best Free Internet Security Utilities and Programs. These Utilities and Programs are free from adware and any other malicious code.

  1. Malwarebytes AntiMalware – Identifies and removes malicious software from your computer.
  2. AVG AntiVirus – Antivirus utility and one of the most popular.
  3. SuperAntiSpyware – Detect and Remove Spyware, Adware, Malware, Trojans, Dialers, Worms, KeyLoggers, HiJackers, Parasites, Rootkits and many other types of threats.
  4. Panda Cloud Antivirus (beta) – Protection against the viruses. It’ is light weight as all the work is done within the cloud.
  5. Avira AntiVir – Personal Protection and security against viruses, worms, Trojan horses and dialers.
  6. avast! Home Edition – Antivirus utility.
  7. McAfee Stinger – Detect and remove specific viruses, including one of the most malicious worms – W32/Conficker worm.

    Great list! I might want to add Microsoft Security Essentials too (a free antivirus). It’s pretty light weight and works :)

      I looked into that utility and passed it up because I never used it. I never like telling others about a product unless I have used it before.

    I used Panda and Norton before then switched to AVG. Was intending to try out McAfee as well. Spybot & Ad-Aware, are a must! Well, can’t be too careful to keep away as much malicious programs as possible. Well compiled list, Frank.

    I’m a huge fan of Spybot. I love both the spyware detection and the ability to toggle start programs on and off, but after getting a short description of what they are beforehand. Great list!
